I wonder if Greg is ignoring the fact that he isn’t very attractive. In my eye, he seems confident and overestimates himself even though he goes through the hard time both at home and school. As I said before, he is stuck as the second child and gets bullied as the lightest student. The author lays stress on his age. He is in puberty, as a result, his classmates have the very different body size and height. His father is worried about his son sthin body. He is always complaining about his not exercising and doing manly stuff. Greg hardly uses curse words and gets physical so he is more likely to be teased by the fellow students. I suppose he knows it, too. It made him buy the bench press and exercise gear. Unfortunately, he is not an athletic type. In the book three, he had a crush on Hilly Hollys and put in effort to address words and ask her to dance. Sadly, it turns out she is much closer to Rowley than Greg. Greg thinks that girls are cruel sometimes. Do you think appearance is more important than the personality? Speaking frankly, I had the tendency to be attracted to the good-looking guy when I was young. I’d say the young people fall in love by Eyes. So blind by Cupid. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw 는 미국의 작가이자 만화가인 제프 키니가 쓴 실화 바탕의 픽션 소설로 Diary of Wimpy Kid 시리즈의 세 번째 작품이다. 첫 번째는 Diary of a Wimpy Kid, 그리고 두 번째 편은 Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules이다.

책은 초등학교 6학년인 그렉 헤플리가 자신의 모험을 말하는 일기이다. 저자는 5권으로 시리즈를 염두해두고, 집필했으며 2009년 1월에 본 편인 3편을 출간하였다. 20세기 폭스 사를 통해 영화로도 개봉될 예정이다.
